WHO WE ARE
We are a family of animal lovers and for over 40 years we have been dedicated to dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. We have rescued, purchased, bred, trained & competed with all types of dogs but our breed of choice has always been Saint Bernards. We have adopted countless cats over the years and many more have adopted us.
Our goal is to not just protect and love our dogs, but to add years to their lives and not just Dog Years but QUALITY YEARS.
WHY WE FEED RAW
Over the years we have watched the health and lifespan of our dogs slowly decline. During this time we have seen recall after recall of processed dog food. 40 years ago cancer was rare and seizures were unheard of. In today’s world, cancer is the number one killer of dogs and seizures are becoming more and more common. Chew Dat Foods can't promise to prevent cancer or seizures, but we can promise we are making our food with the finest ingredients possible in an effort to build healthier dogs.

What started as a hobby has become Jennifer's passion. Growing up with Saint Bernards and spending countless weekends attending dog shows with her mother, Jennifer says she wouldn't know what to do with her life if she didn't have dogs.
After losing one dog too many to cancer, she began her quest to extend the lifespan of her beloved Saints.
"I tell people this is my accidental company. I never really intended to start a business. I was just making food for my dogs in an effort to improve their health and extend their lives."
Steven Hanger (aka Fuzzy)
Chew Dat Foods' unwitting co-owner, married to Jennifer, Fuzzy didn't realize what he was getting himself into when he supported her in her vision to start a pet food company.
Fuzzy says when he retired from the US Air Force he didn't envision becoming a full time errand boy, delivery boy and dishwasher,
